This card is highly likely to drop rather than go up. Right now, near-mint copies are sitting at a report-day price of $375. Since the set just released yesterday, you are looking at a massive new-release tax. My best estimate for the 3-month target is a drop to $225, with a likely range between $180 and $300. The 1-year longer-range estimate sees it falling further to around $185. We expect this downward gravity because early supply is low, but more packs will be opened soon. In fact, Build and Battle Kits launch on July 31, which will push even more copies into circulation. We already saw this exact pullback with the Japanese counterpart, which dropped from $1,200 to $550 in its first six weeks. Right now, the set is so new that there is not enough history to judge how easily the card sells. If you just want Mega Darkrai ex for your binder, you have much cheaper choices, like a $12 Double Rare or a $28 Ultra Rare in the same set. Hold off on buying this Special Illustration Rare at $375 until the late-July Build and Battle Kits add more supply and pull the price closer to that $225 target.
