Predicted Jul 21, 2026
I expect the PSA 10 Mega Charizard X ex to keep trending down over the next three months. Compared to today's $2,000 price, my best estimate is a drop to around $1,800, with a wider three-month uncertainty range between $1,600 and $2,000. Looking further out, my longer-range one-year estimate sits at $1,600, though that carries more uncertainty. The decisive factor here is the massive incoming supply. PSA recorded almost 4,900 new grades for this exact card in the last 30 days alone. Because about 60 percent of those earn a gem-mint grade, thousands of new PSA 10s are hitting the market at once. This flood of supply gives buyers plenty of options and forces sellers to compete on price. If you want this card, my move is to hold off on buying a PSA 10 right now. Let the new-release tax wear off and wait for the price to find a solid floor before adding it to your collection.
The PSA 10 price path shows a clear and steady pullback. Ninety days ago, copies were trading near $2,749, but they slipped to $2,300 last month and are anchoring around $2,000 today. While Lion Market observed massive liquidity with 162 sales in the last 30 days making it very easy to buy and sell, this high volume is happening as prices slide, showing sellers are actively accepting lower bids to move their slabs. Looking at a basket of peers, the gravity is consistent across the board. The Japanese counterpart from Inferno X saw its PSA 10 median drop from roughly $1,389 down to $1,079. We see the same downward trajectory for the Mega Evolution Promo version, which fell from $334 to $227, and even older visual neighbors like the Generations M Charizard-EX pulled back from a $3,400 peak to around $2,375. The biggest weight on this card is the sheer volume of fresh supply. The Phantasmal Flames set is about eight months old, and bulk submissions are still pouring out of grading rooms. With PSA adding thousands of new copies to the census in just one month, the market is heavily saturated. Until this wave of newly graded supply slows down and gets absorbed by long-term holders, price discovery will likely keep pushing the ceiling lower.

This score uses only PSA_10 sales, recency, market depth, and price spread. Raw cards and other grades do not affect it.
The three-month range includes prices below and above the report-day price, so the final price could move either way.
